Half Frame Camera - First Impressions

Late last year I came upon an ad (or maybe it was a repost/share from someone?) for a film magazine called Pastiche Magazine, I thought it looked interesting so ordered myself one. There was also a giveaway happening and I ended up winning a Half Frame Camera as well as some other goodies, like some new film Pastiche 200T. (I have yet to shoot it.)

The camera itself is simple to use and comes with a flash. I wasn’t expecting anything amazing from the photos considering the quality of the camera/lens but I think I will be taking this with me on some photo shoots and possibly a trip this year. I do enjoy the grainy and gloomy vibes I got. I think this camera could give me some dreamy summer-y photos as well.

Out of the 72 images, only 53 turned out and out of those I really like 13. I ruined a whole bunch of photos because I forgot to turn on the flash!

Anyways, here are a few of my favourite photos from the Kodak Ektar H35 Camera, using Ilford HP5 400 ISO. I have been feeling the black and white film lately. Developed and scanned at Downtown Camera.
